Let me also put in a few line then.

On the day Dussherra in 97, I bought my NvSpl on Finance as I was yet
to start earning full time. Whole 98 and 99 I used it and when in 2000
my dad wanted it as his mode of transportation, I was given three
choices to buy a bike: Suzuki Samurai, HH Splendor and Bajaj Caliber.
I refused all three choices and my MvSpl was far better in terms of
performance than the given three choices, so I told my dad, I'll
prefer another NvSpl over his choice of three bikes. So, he asked my
choice. Since I was reading some auto mags, I was aware of some bikes
that were in market or going to come: I told him: HH CBZ, Suzuki Fiero
and Yamaha YBX. Also ask him if we can wait I would like to wait for
the "expected" LML VR135 (due to my soft corner as I was using LML's
scooter for so long). Dad said, forget LML's bike, it will not come,
go and test ride the other three bikes and make your call. Pulsar and
GF125 were never in my radar as I was not expecting a quality product
from a company who has never made any "good" bike on their own.

First I test rode YBX. Smooth engine and gearbox. Peppy and responsive
engine. Then I moved to CBZ, find it difficult to adjust to that
sporty riding position also engine sounded a bit harsh but felt
powerful. Last I rode Fiero, very much like YBX. and then rest as they
say is history.
