Got your point. Your idea of connecting the lighting circuit to the charging
circuit is nice but technical difficulties should be checked only after
practical implementation. Frequencies should be the same for both the AC
pulses but lagging of current vs voltage angle will be there. However
converting the AC voltage of lighting circuit into DC & joining it to
charging circuit is feasible. Sorry I can't help after this ;-)) but suggest
you to use a relay in case you like to use the factory fitted switch to
trigger ur HID.
