I had the same problem with my erstwhile P150 KS 2003 Classic model (now
sold) however , plonking in a new CDI unit (sourced from one of bajajpulsar
members from Mumbai - Deepak saab ) worked for me without any issues until I
sold the steed.

The part number was the same DH - 11 - 1019 or similar I think, I will get
back with the exact number tomorrow. However mine was a P150 KS Classic
model. Although I am not sure any other CDI would work with the bike because
every bike has a different setup but maybe it might work with some other CDI
too, experts may be able to comment.

As far as I remember what my mechanic told me is that , he had to change the
stator plate along with the CDI because he told me it was shorting or
something but I guess it has nothing to do with the CDI connection.

The only cause of this problem might be duplicate CDI part causing the issue
because any original part wont go bad so easily unless it has some expiry on
it which I doubt it would be.

Sourcing old spares were really a problem due to which I sold the steed,
although it never had any issues and ran fine for 62k kms in 6 years.
