Mbak Vieb, Saya coba-coba cari di google Review Asia, yang ketemu hanya Far Eastern Economic Review.
Syukurlah perjuangan di Loloan Canggu akhirnya diwartakan oleh media luar negeri, dan ini memungkinkan lebih banyak warga dunia yang melihat perjuangan Mbak Viebeke disana bersama masyarakaat disana.Walaupun berat, nampaknya hasil sudah mulai ada, yaitu berupa suspended sementara atau dibuaat status quo dulu. Perjuangan belum selesai karena masyarakat minta agar proyek pemanfaatan Loloan tsb harus betul-betul dihentikan. Konsekwensi perjuangan memang sangat berat, tuduhan komunis dan teror-teror mati adalah bagian dari kisah-kisah oerlawanan menghadapi kekuatan uang (Power of money) dan kekuasaan (Power of authority). Tetapi kekuatan moral masyarakat (power of people) masih cukup efektif untuk melawannya. Yang 2 tahun lalu tsb perjuangan menentang Shopping Mall di pantai Kuta itu yang mana ya ? Melihat pembangunan Bali selama ini khususnya di wilayah Denpasar dan Badung memang sangat mengkhawatirkan. Sangat mungkin bahwa kita hanya mampu menjadi pelayan di tanah sendiri. Sejumlah wilayah di Bali (a.l KUTA) telah menjadi wilayah yang asing bagi orang Bali. Anak-anak muda Bali masuk kesana, entah sebagai pekerja ataupun berinteraksi dengan turis-turis disana, kemudian ketika mereka (anak-anak muda) tsb kembali ke desanya, tanpa sengaja mereka mengimbaskan budaya aneh yang mereka dapatkan di Kuta ke pemuda-pemuda di desanya. Saya pernah membaca bahwa penyakit menular dapat disebarkan melalui jejaring sosial. Tidak hanya untuk hal-hal positip, jejaring sosial juga sangat efektif termanfaatkan oleh hal-hal negatif. Bagaimanakah strategi Bali mnghadapi persoalan ini ?
