I believe that you have recently received an application from Chevalier
Coward de Custaad regarding your vacant aide position? I feel that it is
only fair to warn you that some irregularities regarding le Chevalier's
recent commission purchase have recently resurfaced and that these cast
severe doubt upon the validity of the majority which he would need in order
to be eligible for such a position. Indeed, I suspect that the main reason
for his approaching you at this time is in order to strengthen his claim to
his majority thereby.
What you decide to do in light of this information is, of course, a decision
for yourself alone. I merely felt it my duty to furnish it. Should you
