Mon Ami,
You seem to be, not only the talk of the Paris, but the entire front as
well! If gossip was ammunition we could certainly out gun our enemies with
the stir you have unleashed.
The latest news to reach me was that the CoPS has placed you under
investigation. From my experience that does not bode well; though it does
indicate to what levels of society your name has reached.
If it is any consolation (should some trumped up charge be forthcoming that
results in a sentence to the front) you shall always be welcome in the
ranks of the Royal Marines; which shall, likely, be at the front over the
next year. I'm sure room could be made for any commission that you would
feel comfortable buying; short of my own and the Colonel's of course.
When are you getting by for a visit? We should be moving out in a couple
of days; do try to get by before then!
Ton Ami,
Alan
