Your Excellency,
I was aghast to hear that you will not be able to
attend the "Meet the Minister of War" event that I was
hosting in week 1. I presume that there must be some
pressing affair of state that is keeping you occupied
that week, despite rumours that his majesty himself
considered the event "a superb idea".
In any case as it is far too late to re-schedule
or recall the invitations, the event will continue. I shall
have a painting of yourself borrowed from the war office
and placed in full view during the festivities. Certain
officers, considering how much they like their drink,
may not even notice the difference.
Perhaps you could issue a statement to be read
in your place. [OOC no need of course to actually generate
anything here].
