I received word of de Rosier's predicament and your offer to fill the space 
he may soon vacate.

Knowing you as a fine officer myself, I will have a word with the Governor. 
As my time is cut very short indeed by advising His Majesty about the next 
Minister of State, I will sadly not be able to do more than drop a hint or 
two. Still, I will do what I can.
