Louis,
I was just putting ink to paper when your letter arrived. Thank you for the kind words
I hope I can live up to them. To tell the truth I am a little surprised with my quick
rise. I guess it pays to have a few benefactors. I plan on repaying there trust in
me by succeeding in making the 13th one of Frances premier fighting regiments.
I was a little surprised when you and Kay did not show up but that is understandable
with everything going on this past month. The royal wedding and all.
As to taking the regiment to the front that is exactly what I plan to do. I do hope
you decide to submit the proper paper work and take one of the Major positions that
are open. I know you are more than qualified to do the job.
Take care my friend,
Gariens
(OOC: GdV will take the regiment to the front until he comes back with enough loot to
pay everyone off.)

Congratulations on assuming the Colonelcy of our fine
regiment! I'm sure that we'll do well in the upcoming campaign under your
leadership. I also wish to tender my apologies for failing to keep our
appointment this month. My idiotic servant sent me to the wrong address
(ooc: typo in my orders).
Perhaps it would be worthwhile to take the regiment to the front
for this upcoming month to get the kinks out, as it were.
Je dois aller,
Captain Louis Loius, 13th Fusiliers

Doesn't the fact that there are *exactly* 50 states seem a little suspicious?
