Dear Duc Alain de Sevigny, it appears that both if us have applied for the position of Minister of War. Might I enquire for the reason of this sudden and late application? While I fully admit that your credentials are impressive, do you believe that you would make a better Minister of War then myself who has the backing of the current Minister of State? I do not wish a conflict of interests between us. I ask thee kindly to withdraw your application. I am sure that the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs is a better position for you. If you desire I, and I am sure the new Minister of State as well, shall do everything in my power after my appointment to Minister of War to make sure that you shall recieve this noble appointment that you deserve.
