De : [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] De la part de Arthur Borba Lopes I think I see what you mean, Vlad. It's a thing like: "You were good in the beginning, got a little worse and now you, first, have to get to the point you started, then you will really improve", right? A "Metroid" franchise sort of thing, in which Samus starts the games with a whole awesome gearing of previous games, but sneezes and damages the whole suit, levelling her power to a minimum. I don't think that that's the best way, because I feel that the incentivation system may come out kinda forced. The period of time the player has to plow through in order to get to the point he was in the first session may feel like an unnecessary burden he was to resolve. [David] I definitely agree here What do you people think about having the extra hack/scan points in the first session being simply a gift? It'd end something like [Max Hack/Scan Points]+3. That way, the player may feel encouraged to keep playing ("Wow! I have extra resources just for having started the game?") and, later, he may feel that he has been continuously improving, since the first upgrade to his h/s points will be a "+1", instead a "now -3". The speed of improvement may change, not the "amount" of improvement. [David] I like the idea giving something to the player at the beginning to encourage him, but given that he has already 12 hack points and this max number will not decrease (see my answer to Vlad), I'm not sure one or two hack points would make the difference. What do you think ? I'd rather have this quick reward related to the AI feature that we'll soon start to work on. Then we'll know how AI management and number of hack/scan points work together and we'll be able to define nice incentives for the first session of the player I think.
