about what package are you talking? For the Bareos packages we use the spec file in https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bareos/bareos/master/platforms/packaging/bareos.spec (or the other branches). The obs extracts the source of a branch from github, creates an tar.gz, extract the files from platforms/packaging and start the build. The build process may slightly modify the spec file.
