Hi Jörg, Thanks a lot for the update. I just read the updated docs and If I get this right in order to have DAR (direct access recovery) I need to switch to NATIVE NDMP (2Way) and attach the Tape drive directly to the storage?
Currently I use BAREOS NDMP (3 way backup type ZFS, this doesn't provide DAR anyway) but it runs quite well with around 90Mbyte/s to Tape. Only problem is that an error is thrown on restore and backup completes with a warning. However Backup and Restore are working. As soon as the updated nightly packages are published and I have some spare time I will test NATIVE NDMP (2Way). The documentation is updated and published and describe now the two available methods: NDMP_BAREOS (same as before) and NDMP_NATIVE. The code is published to github (master branch). Packages should be available at http://download.bareos.org/bareos/experimental/nightly/, however, the automated publishing is blocked, because an error at the automated tests on some older SUSE distributions (not related to NDMP, but the bareos-webui). As soon as these get fixed, packages will be published.
