Hi, is it technically possible to spool and despool at the same time? For example (fictitious values) given: 100GB Volume 50GB Spoolsize
- Tape job starts spooling 50 GB: 10 min - writing (despooling) to tape: 10 min - after despooling, spool the next 50gb: 10 min - despooling 50gb: 10min = total 40 minutes if we despool and spool at the same time, we gain much time! - spooling first part 50GB 10min - despooling frist 50GB to tape, while spooling the next 50GB 10min - despooling the next 50GB 10min = total 30miutes so that would be 1/3 faster.
