You may want to visit
https://docs.bareos.org/master/IntroductionAndTutorial/InstallingBareos.html#rhel-7-centos-7-fedora
as you can find some hints there.
See http://download.bareos.org/bareos/release/ for available
installations for non-subscription users.
However, there should not be any issue with readline.

I recently moved to Fedora 30, only to discover that the fedora 30 bareos
distribution is not available. I tried using the Fedora 29 distribution, but
bareos-client fails to install with a dependency on libreadline.so.7. FC30 has
libreadline.so.8. I tried creating a link from .8 to .7. Still will not load.
Tried moving the libreadline.so.7.0 file from FC29 to FC30. Still will not load.
Does anyone have a workaround to get my backup running again?
I have several FC29 systems and Centos7.5 systems all performing normally. I
don't want to have to down grade FC30 systemc to get is backup running.
