I've increased the number of volumes, so this is giving me some time to look

You won't see, if any other change is successful, when you keep increasing the number of volumes: bareos will only start recycling old volumes, if it runs out of unused volumes. (though, I can understand, that one wants to increase the number of volumes to make it "just work for now" again)
