In fact, the problem isn't opensync or plugin barry for opensync ; but the other plugins for opensync. All plugins for opensync aren't all ported with the new API. Moreover some old devices (most about SyncML) don't work with new OpenSync's API. So the OpenSync team has to maintain two branch 0.22 and the new branch 0.4x...
