Hi, Now here are the patches.If there're no device selected, and you pressed 'Disconnect', the app crashes. The first patch solves this problem.
The second one is for the warning popup you mentioned.

I think the GUI safeguards in general need more testing though. For example, if a backup is going, you can use File | Quit with no warning popping up. Things like that probably need to be nailed down a bit more, but otherwise, I like it a lot.
