Hi Bob,
this may not be the optimal way of solving this problem, but why don't you
create a reporterlist for the genes that are A times overexpressed in x.
Then do a filtering on hyb y to find the genes that are B times
underexpressed. If I understand your project right, it should be possible
to then do a filtering on y:  "reporter list present in <name of
reportelist from x>" to find the reporters present in both conditions.
