Just a quick note to our friends that we are alive and well despite the
massive storms in our area. The major problem for us is that like 1.5
million other PGE customers, we are out of power (source: SJ Mercury
News). Unlike many in the more urban areas however, we actually have a
generator, which means that we are relatively warm and comfortable
inside the house. We do have to feed gas into the generator every six
hours or so and power it down overnight. On the plus side, we've built
fires in the fireplace, snuggling and drinking homemade brandy while we
listen to the drumming on the roof and the thunder rumble. I think I've
seen more rain this weekend than in a decade in Los Angeles. ;)

For those of you not familiar with where we live, here is a google maps
link: http://tinyurl.com/2bh9ry . Although we actually live in Felton,
our house is near where the word "Brackney" is. I'd link to our exact
address, but rural maps are not updated very often by the USGS, so the
location of our house is actually wrong if you search on it.

Hoping every one else is safe, dry and warm.

Glenn & Allie
