Mitsuwa offers a different taste, Maruichi offers more selections.
There is another famous ramen place here in Japan town (yelp it). Might you try
a group outing there as well?
I would join ya' Mike, if I was around. Take pictures.

Hi

If you've never tried real ramen, you may not be aware of one of the world's
great comfort foods,
Truth. Word.
with its deeply flavored, slow-simmered broth, springy fresh noodles, and
toppings of braised pork, bamboo shoots, dried seaweed and more.

Next meeting falls on President's Day. Would anybody be interested in a
pre-meeting bowl around 5pm at Santouka Ramen (inside Mitsuwa Marketplace at
Saratoga and Moorpark)? This is just a couple expressways from our regular
meeting place.
Actually, I think Maru Ichi on Castro does a better job of it. For one thing,
they give you real spoons, not plastic ones.
Cost is $6.95-11.95. And it won't totally ruin your appetite.
Then you're doing it wrong. ;)

Best,

Glenn

P.S. In either case, I usually take advantage of holidays to not drive over to
that side of the hill, so I'll decline this time out.
