I don't know exactly what you mean by "runtime", but let me explain this: * Basket will definitely need the KDE and Qt *libraries*. * But it can do without the *desktop* (Plasma, KWin, etc.) and the *services* (Akonadi, Nepomuk, etc.) You can also try to get rid of the library dependency by statically linking basket. But the resulting binary will gain "a few" mega bytes. If you try this please report back your results. I hope this helps.
