The problem is that Basket is 'potentially' platform independent, but 
unfortunately very much KDE dependent. So if I'd like to use basket 
under windows it is simply impossible now. I have to wait until kde for 
windows project matures and someone package the basket into it.
I don't want all this kde stuff at all, just one or two (the second is 
digikam) programs. That is all. Just like I can use Avidemux, gimp, 
audacity etc under linux and windows.

So also I'd like to here good news about making static linking kde libs 
and basket. And wonder how much MB it involves. I'm afraid it is the 
only way to see basket in near future on windows.
