You know, I've seen this argument on every single mailing list I've
ever joined that has the "feature" of adding a tag to subject
lines. Personally, I'd rather keep the tags, since it allows me to
quickly scan my mailbox ***VISUALLY*** and see what's list mail and
what's not. You know, without the help of filters and so forth. If you
use an emacs-based reader, it's trivial to filter the things out. If
you're on any sort of linux system, you can use procmail to kill 'em
before you even see the mail. Leaving them in is an assistance to some
list members; leaving them out is merely satisfying an arbitrary whim
for others. On that basis, I'm leaving them in.
Now can we please get the hell OFF list ettiquette and get back to
dealing with the subject at hand, being the bbdb. If you've further
comments on the topic, take it off the list.
