The old list didn't have them.  It is an arbitrary decision that was
taken w/o the advise and consent of the list.  It shortens the useful
length of the subject, makes threading harder and is damn annoying
that it was done w/o even asking.

That's why we're pissed off, and that's why I'm leaving this ON the list.
