As I noticed just now, there is a different whether I
complete "foo" or "foo ", so the bug slipped my testing.
O.K. so I have done what I should have done before ...
There is a new variable bbdb-complete-name-allow-cycling
which controls whether cycling is enabled or not.
The default is to NIL.
If I find a fix for the problem I'll let you know!
