Hello, I am a big fan of BBDB which I intensively use everywhere.
Obviously, I would like to know what you think about some nifty ideas : 1. change backend BBDB format to something more "standard". I am thinking here of something like XML format including a XML dtd or schema describing the bare base of what is a BBDB record. I know this may need some HUGE changes to BBDB code but it is not that hard to do (I guess). This would allow us to add fields based on other XML schemas/dtds, allows easy export of BBDB data, ... I know we can just do this already (there are many exporters available), but it seems to me that XML would be best to handle our data than the actual BBDB format. 2. add some functions to send SMS/MMS to our records 3. add better handling of encoding/decoding 4. add a way to show picture/face/x-face/etc... The actual "contributed" code is not perfect even if it exists and works not that bad, I still have display bugs. My next question is about Palm syncing: what is the best solution available today for a bidirectionnal sync ? Last time I tested, it was a real pain to achieve something for just unidirectionnal data. Thank you all for your attention.
