The following must happen to view local php:
1) Install PHP (you can get the download from Marc Liyanage
(http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/php/)
2) Enable Web Sharing in the System Prefs/Sharing panel
3) Try putting a test.php file in your Sites folder in your home directory with
the following line in it: <?php phpinfo(); ?>
That should do it.
