I don't do any scripting, but it seems to me that if a user had BBEdit running so it could respond to an Applescript (for example), then it could be both "in use" and "idle." Could there be such a situation? And while we're on the subject, my two cents is that the definition of "single user" seems to vary all over the place. Some years back I asked the fine folks at QuarkXPress if I could use my copy of Quark both at work and on my laptop (but never at the same time), and they said that if I wanted to do that, I had to buy two copies. They defined "one user" as "one computer." I have BBEdit on one computer, but when I'm on vacation it's used by someone other than me. I don't think any of us want that to be considered multiple users and necessitate the purchase of additional licenses. The fact is, "one user" has to be somewhat of a vague term in order for it to be useful in a software sense. I can understand the original poster's surprise and annoyance. However, I would suggest that he try and see that BareBones has tried to do well by their users while still recognizing the realities of the marketplace and learn to ignore the nag box. --Dominick The information contained in this e-mail may be confidential and is intended solely for the use of the named addressee.
