But then, how would you cycle through various BBEdit application
windows? I use cmd+` to switch between my editing window and my S/FTP
browser, my Preview in BBEdit pane and my editing window, syntax-
checking results and other windows...you get the idea. That's what
most other Mac apps do, and it's the behaviour I expect.
I just checked, though, and it looks like you can reassign cmd+` to
'next document' or 'previous document' if you want to (BBEdit-
>Preferences->Menus->View), and it does seem to wrap around the list
of open documents in a single editing window, so when you get to the
last one and hit the keystroke again, it takes you back to the top of
the list. Doesn't work across editing windows, so it looks like
you've got to pick your poison -- cycle through windows, or cycle
through documents.
