Hi

I've got BBEdit 8.5 on a demo basis at present and I'm rather enjoying
exploring it.

There is something I can't work out although it may be that this is
crushingly obvious but I've just missed it for some reason.

Text can be soft-wrapped against either the page guide, a character limit or
the window frame according to the preferences.

I want to have it so that it soft-wraps against the window frame but I just
can't get it to do this. Instead when I invoke soft-wrap from the toolbar
menu it soft-wraps against the character limit setting in the preferences,
even though the preferences are set to wrap to window width.

At the top of the preferences window it says "These settings are used for new
documents and for documents without saved state".

Well I've tried getting the open documents into an unsaved state by simply
editing them a bit, then resetting the preferences, this hasn't worked.

I've even tried copying all the text from my documents into new documents and
then saving those. Initially it seems that everything is okay, the text is
soft-wrapping against the window. Then I close the document and re-open and
now the text is soft-wrapping against the character limit.

So, it is causing me to wonder how to get it to work as I'd like :)
