That's a somewhat dangerous oversimplification that is confusing,
especially to new users.
In the context Jim was writing, "with" may be read to say "at
the same time as and related to", and not "conjoined". As such I
don't think there's any real risk of oversimplification here,
but of course your mileage may vary. :-)
