That is very good indeed to know about.

I have two clipboard requests. The first may exist as I haven't been using
BBEdit for very long and I may not have noticed it. Anyway it is "Swap
Paste". This simply exchanges a text selection in a file for what is on the
clipboard. Nisus Writer Classic (which I used to use when I had a pre-Intel
Mac) has this and it is so handy when you want to swap two words/whatever in
a file. All you to is select item 1, copy it, then select item 2, use "Swap
Paste" then go back to item 1 and paste.

I am planning on writing an AppleScript to recreate "Swap Paste" but I
haven't got around to it yet.

The other clipboard request is much more significant than "Swap Paste" and
this is that the clipboards should be fully editable. This is another thing I
miss from Nisus Writer and it was so handy I found. The great joy of editable
clipboards is that you can select text in any app. Copy it to the clipboard,
then you'd open the clipboard in BBEdit, run the text processing over it,
then paste it straight back into the app from which it came. I know that
BBEdit has "New (with clipboard)" but it isn't the same :)
