Frank,
I've mentioned this to others, privately, but I'm going to say
it publicly (and perhaps regret it later...).
If you — or anyone — would like to send me a copy of your
CLM and at least one representative sample of the type of file
you're trying to work with, I'll be happy to help you tweak it
into shape. I have a small library of them now, due to all those
I've helped people write.
I have some ideas for ways to make the CLM interface a lot
easier to work with (I even have an idea for a tool that would
build them for you!) but in the meantime my ideas are helped
along when I help others write their CLM's.

Maybe my expectations are wrong? If i have a "matching" expression for
functions, i would expect:
a) that the symbol popup shows something
correct
b) that i get code folding on the function lvl
correct
c) that those things that are matched by <function_name> get syntax coloring
Nope. Function names aren't colored. They're listed in the
function popup, are selected in the text when you pick something
from the function popup, and never hidden when you "fold" a
function. No special coloring for function names, though.
