Well, I figured out what was wrong with respect to the error code
message -2804.
The only part I am still curious about is how I might be able to use
the X-Code debugger to help me track down problems when I try to do
something real.

working. I do have it compiling in X-Code and it is located in
BBEdit/Plug-Ins/ ... which is where BBEdit placed it when I
