The nice thing (for me) about SVN (sync through a server) over
Rsync (direct machine sync) for this type of application is
that both machines don't need to be on or able to access each
other at the same time. Of course they do each have to be able
to access your SVN server.
Yep, and it's especially useful when traveling. I use subversion
for three different purposes: keeping different versions of
documents, keeping my machines in sync and for backup ... very
nice and useful.
