Well, I see I was off in my previous post. The "Remove ..." button is active if the selected item (file or folder) was added to the browser. But NOT if what's selected is an item WITHIN a folder added to the browser. I do see that if I drag something out of a listed folder into the main browser window, then that item can be deleted or renamed. Also, that item stays in the browser even if folder I dragged it from is deleted from the browser. So you might restore your previous file groups by either a) selecting UNwanted items and dragging them out of a listed folder, deleting those items from the browser window, and keeping the folder; or b) selecting wanted items, dragging them out of the listed folder to the browser window, them deleting the listed folder, and perhaps then putting the saved items into their own folder.
