FTP browsers don't seem to be randomly disconnecting over here either. Not sure what to suggest to the original poster... Maybe there is a log somewhere of BBEdit's connections, perhaps showing how the disconnects happened. As with the OP, I have also wondered why the Connect/Disconnect button doesn't behave like a standard "OK" button, colored differently and responding to a press of the Enter key. Why wasn't it done that way? My surmise is that it's because this window has several actions available, not just one main action to do or not. For example, If I have some items selected in the browser window, I want the "hot" button to be "Open", not "Disconnect", so I can just press Enter to open the selected items. (Which is what happens.) Maybe the solution is a keyboard command for "Connect"/"Disconnect". >What I'd like it to do is remember where I placed it - in the same >way that all of my pallettes do. Then select the Window->Save Default Window command. Works separately with each type of BBEdit window -- and now seems fine all around after a glitch in the previous rev.
