I'm editing server-side include files where the head and body tags are
stored in includes, for good or ill. So whenever I try to use the Add
Tag feature to wrap selected text in one element or another, BBEdit
tells me, "No definition exists for the parent tag. A tag cannot be
inserted."
How do I get BBEdit to be friendly with my SHTML files? This is really
slowing me down.
The section titled "Syntax Checking Partial Documents" which starts
on printed page 222, electronic page 243 of the user manual is hepful
here. (It also influences Tag Maker.)
The specially formatted comment allows you to control the doctype and
root element Tag Maker will use for the page.
