Re: The BBEdit User Guide, starting at page 222 (PDF page 243) Thanks, Jim. That section of the BBEdit manual did shed some light. I wouldn't have looked there for Tag Maker help.
The info in that section suggests two solutions: wrap my no-parent-element pages in a block element, like a DIV, or add a BBEdit-special include that declares the doc type, such as: <!-- #bbpragma doctype="-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" root_element="body" --> My problem with the latter is that I'm the only one of my staff using BBEdit, so I don't want to litter my pages with BBEdit-specific codes. I may have to add an extra DIV to the pages. However, I was hoping that there was a way to make BBEdit allow Tag Maker to work within my no-partent-tag SHTML pages. Better yet, I was hoping to make BBEdit somehow see the includes. It's interesting -- Tag Maker doesn't throw an error until I add the server-side includes to the file; until then, Tag Maker will work with a no-parent-element page. So is BBEdit recognizing the SSI statements but I haven't told BBEdit where to find them, or something? thanks, CC On Jan 2, 2008 4:02 PM, Jim Correia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Jan 2, 2008, at 12:48 PM, Complex wrote: > > > I'm editing server-side include files where the head and body tags are > > stored in includes, for good or ill.
