During a series of manual "replace and find' operations I often find I want to go back and examine one more closely to be sure it did the right thing.
The obvious thing is to undo and then redo, but unfortunately BBEdit doesn't show me what I want to see when I perform the redo. I want to see the text that CHANGED, but instead it restores the change and immediately jumps the view to the next found text. The simplest fix is simply not to scroll the window to the found text after doing a "redo". I am used to this behavior from other editors and it works amazingly well (though I realize it may sound a bit strange if you've never tried it). Another option that I'm not so keen on is making "replace and find" two operations in the undo/redo buffer. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BBEdit Talk" group.
