BBEdit is a HTML editor and not a site manager in the way that
DW is. You can define FTP for your site under Preferences ->
FTP Settings and then upload to the server or open a file from
the server using the appropriate commands from the File menu.
But don't expect BBEdit to upload an entire site including
associated files (images, stylesheets, etc.). DW automates this
task for ease of use by all levels of site designers. But those
of use who hand code rather than using a tool such as DW prefer
to use our own FTP clients alongside BBEdit. This gives us
precision and control which can be more useful than DW's FTP capabilities.
