Adding to what I previously wrote, I use Transmit as my FTP
client. It has a cool feature called DockSend. Once you define a
site's local and remote locations in Transmit, you can can drag
any file to its dock icon and it will upload to the appropriate directory.

So if I am working on a site whose images change often, I'll add
the image directories to the BBEdit project listing for that
site. After editing an image or creating a new one in Fireworks,
I simply return to BBEdit and upload the changed image by
dragging its file along with the revised html file to Transmit's
dock icon. Everything gets uploaded to the correct directory.

You can drag one or multiple files from the documents drawer or
from the project file listing. Very slick. :-)
