Thanks Patrick. BBEdit's ability to work directly with files via FTP had enabled me to have a very efficient workflow, I can't emphasize enough how much this bug has disrupted that. I have to quit and restart BBEdit every time it begins happening, usually within ten minutes of connecting to a server. I work on websites on many different types of servers and this problem seems to occur on most of them.
I would also like to point out that before this update I could switch FTP connections in one step by using the bookmarks list in the FTP window. Now I have to hit the disconnect button, select the new bookmark and hit connect. I realize it is only a couple extra steps but for someone working on many different websites throughout the day it has taken away an efficiency I once enjoyed.
