A big part of the evolution taking place in BBEdit overall, and
in 9.0 in particular, is to revisit and redesign old behaviors
that in many cases were ill-considered or incompletely thought
out, with an eye toward providing a work flow that is ultimately
more efficient.

The rework of the FTP browsers is very much in this spirit; and
although I realize that the departure from the old behaviors can
cause discomfort in some cases, I think you'll find it rewarding
to make the adjustment.

One thing that's worth noting is that you can have multiple FTP
browsers; so if you find yourself working on multiple sites (or
desiring multiple connections to the same site), you can just
make a new browser and off you go.

Enjoy,

R.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they
sedate me.
