Hello Frank,
I've been meaning to writing about this issue as well. I
really don't like it at all. There is white space all over
the place, and I have to waste time getting rid of all of
those useless blank lines. I certainly hope that this
"feature" is not a part of the new HTML5 standard, because I
consider it a step backwards.

Thus markup like:

will become the first time

what I really expect is:

</h1>
Is there a way to get back to the prior version formatting?
