I'll second that request. On this machine, an old Mac running OS 9, I can use the enter key on the numeric keypad to execute, in a shell, the lines selected in an editor window. The enter key on the alpha keyboard just enters a return character. How can I set that up in gedit to run a command the way it's done in a tools menu? It's a real pain when I set up a command and reflexively poke ENTER only to find the selected line replaced by a line end. Thank you for a nice undo. -- --> The best programming tool is a soldering iron <-- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "BBEdit Talk" discussion group on Google Groups.
