Not really. 1) I've never used (or even heard of) Photo Mechanic. 2) I don't know the video to which you refer. 3) I don't understand why clicking a button in PM would open BBEdit. 4) I don't understand how typing something in BBEdit (in a form, no less) precipitates a list lookup. 5) I don't understand where the results of the list lookup go. 6) I don't understand where the caption is, or for that matter, where the photo is. PM? An HTML page?
I will say that if you have a file open in BBEdit, you can get the info on that file and BBEdit will tell you the path to that file. Also, if you know the name of the file (and PM doesn't store files in a database of some sort), you can use Spotlight to find where any given photo is on your hard drive.
