As an alternative, I’ve used Xversion (commercial, see https://ikoder.com <https://ikoder.com/>) for several years and been satisfied with it. It has various versions of subversion libraries built-in (not sure how that is controlled). I haven’t used it directly with BBEdit so can’t comment on that aspect but the website says it includes compare and merge integration with BBEdit.
