Until recently I have been able to ftp to a site without problems.
Recently (perhaps 1-2 weeks ago), I have not been able to log into the ftp site. Here is the message I am getting --- Connected to ftp.ncbi.nih.gov. 220- Warning Notice! 421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection I am able to connect to other ftp sites, but not to this one. This failure to connect to this one ftp site is true for all my other servers on the same network. However, I am able to successfully log in to this ftp site from another machine not on the same network as the machine that is having the problem. I have already confirmed that packets are getting to the remote ftp server and is being received from the remote ftp server. At this point I believe the problem lies with the remote ftp server. But, I could be wrong. Any help in resolving this problem would be most appreciated.
